Hello, Summer - Hello, New Projects

For any of you whose live slows down in the summer, I envy you. But also, good for you. There is currently no difference for me between summer and the rest of the year, regarding how busy I am. I will say, however, that I finally did some writing! There was a fantasy trilogy that I started years back and my intention was to finish that one, but after reading it, I realized I needed to rework the storyline and other fundamentals. Definably a blow when I was assuming I could pick up where I left off.

So it’s back to planning on that project; however, I have another book I’m working on in tandem. I started outlining a fantasy/semi-realistic romance set in the 1930s Boston area, which is a new thing for me. But I’ve been really excited about the project because I think it mixes well with my love of fantasy and my love of romance.

It’s still difficult to carve out time for books, but I realize more and more that storytelling is a big part of who I am and I’d be incomplete if I gave it up.

Is there something that’s a big part of your life that you can’t imagine parting with? Let me know!

And just a reminder for those of you who missed it. You can download the first three chapters of my debut novel, Name the Dark, here!
